"WEIMAR REPUBLIC SERIES"

The Weimar Republic was the period in Germany in between WWI and WWII. During this time there was no major political party in Germany and the political and economic state of the nation was chaotic. The art from these period, (or in this case inspired by this period of time in Germany), displays the brutal effects that poverty and moral confusion imparted upon its populace. One sees the treatment of women, children and the elderly as being inhumane. Some of these pieces are strong in content and may not be suitable for minors. Thank you.

Title: "In the synthesis of the working class man's image lies the irony of a dismantling, which represents the loss of individuality and creativity. As this process evolves, the man becomes more of a clows in a box ready to explode any moment. Perhaps, he is a cultural toy..."

Title: "The formation of a German Psychi during this time was, one could say, embryonic in nature. The round blue figure on top represents this embryo like being kneeled over vulnerable to a manifest desity. In addition, it has no eyes to see, it has no lips, no ears. it is only there to kneel and to take whatever the world has to give it. It also appears like an strange question mark. the red spiral at the bottom represents that manifest destiny which is sucking the embryo into its void. I feel that the psychi of the German at that time was in this turmoil like chaotic state of existence."
